IdSurvey OnSite (on premises) is provided as a pre-configured virtual machine that the customer has to download and install on their server.
Our IT team will complete the installation using the access provided by the customer along with the urls to configure for all interfaces. For the updates we need the port 10933 open from our IP.
We don’t provide Administrator password of the virtual machine to the customer to be sure we’re the only one that intervene on the system and to be sure we’re fully responsible of it.
Virtual Machines minimum requirements:
For IdSurvey on premises:
4 core, RAM 8GB, HDD 100GB
MS Windows Server 2012 R2 license
MS SQL Server 2016 express edition
VMWare 5.5 ESXi or Citrix XenServer 7 Express Edition
For IdTalk dialer on premises (Asterisk 13 with FreePBX 15):
4 core, RAM 4GB, HDD 40GB (plus any space for recordings)
Linux 7.8
VMWare 5.5 ESXi or Citrix XenServer 7 Express Edition
Other requirements:
- Access to the VMware o VSphere (needed for the first setup only)
- Port 10933 open for the Octopus to deploy the updates
Browser
All standard internet browsers for Windows and OSX are supported: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Explorer.
Note
- For Internet Explorer only, the minimum version supported by the browser is version 10.
Internet connection
According to the modules in use (CATI, CAWI and CAPI):
CATI
If interviewers are connected to the same local net as the server, the internet connection is not necessary. If interviewers are out of the LAN, you will need a connection.
CAPI
You need internet connection. Connection speed influences the time needed by the interviewers for the download and synchronization.
We highly recommend a DSL internet connection with at least 512Kb upload guaranteed.
CAWI
Minimum internet connection requirements are hard to define because it depends on concurrent users connected to the interface. For example, if you concurrently send the invitation to 10000 respondents, you will probably get at least 50 concurrent users connecting to the link to answer the questionnaire.
To have a good speed with 50 concurrent users you will need a DSL connection with at least 2Mb guaranteed upload.
If you add a lot of multimedia items to the questionnaire (such as audio or video files), the band needed significantly increases.
