Mandatory steps to launch a survey

Compatibility:IdSurvey 6IdSurvey 7

In order to launch a survey with IdSurvey, before starting the actual data collection, you have to follow mandatory steps.

Each methodology (CATI, CAWI, CAPI) has different requirements.

In the “Settings” section of the survey menu you will see three icons (one for each method) on the right side of the page. The icons indicate the mandatory steps for each methodology to launch a survey.

With mouseover you can see which sections are completed (green) and which are not (orange). The icon will turn green when you complete all the sections required.

Note

  • If you set the survey on anonymous distribution you will not need to upload a contact list before starting with the data collection. In this case, for each new interview a new contact will be created and it will be displayed in the list of the “Contacts Management” page.

  • Set filters: assign filters to the interviewers.

Note

  • You will not need to upload a contacts list nor to set filters to the interviewers if the data collection is carried out using anonymous distribution. In this case, the two icons will remain orange but you will be able to proceed with the survey anyway.
